Meghan Calcagno is the owner of Broad Street Bagel Co. in Kinderhook. The family restaurant recently created #kindnessthroughcarbs where they donate bagels and other goodies to area businesses.
You can see Calcagno around town sporting one of its many flag football shirts. His family organizes an annual tournament, with personalized clothing. The Calcagno’s friendly competition extends to the lake where they compete to see who each catches the first fish of the season.
You can follow Calcagno, which today is 20 things, on instagram.

1. I married my soul mate 25 years ago in April. We got married in Mahwah, NJ We chose the location because it was halfway for my family (upstate NY) and his family in town.

2. I come from a big family, I am one of six siblings. All of our names start with the letter M. From oldest to youngest: Melissa, Michael, Matthew, (Meghan â that’s me), Mark and Micah. We even had a dog named Mindy.

3. I met my husband in Chatham and we ran a pizzeria there for 18 years.

4. We have five children together. Paul III, Angela, Alyssa, Elizabeth and James. Our finest achievements.

5. Queechy Lake in Canaan is one of my favorite places. I enjoyed biking to swimming lessons at Adams Point Beach and floating around all day.
