Luxury and lifestyle brand, a workshop opens its first outpost in Paris

Luxury sports and lifestyle brand, Workshop is known for their next-level bespoke fitness plans and luxurious locations around the world, after all they are hosted in 5-star Bvlgari hotels from Bali to Beijing. And now, founder Lee Mullins has brought his brand to Paris. Perfect !

First Workshop outpost in France and 7th in the world, you will find this luxury gym located at 30 Avenue George V, in the Golden Triangle aka Golden Triangle, home to fashion houses, boutiques and famous monuments (using the Champs -Élysées). It is therefore quite naturally, with its tailor-made offer and its demanding clientele, that this high-end gym is located in the chic 8th arrondissement of Paris.

Mullins tells us more about his brand, the new Parisian outpost and his expansion plans for Workshop.

Felicity Carter: Tell us about your brand and how it has evolved so far?

Lee Mullins: Workshop is a personal and lifestyle training company that specializes in creating highly individualized training, nutrition and lifestyle programs for our clients. The business started with a personal workout gym located in the Bulgari hotel in Knightsbridge, London and following the success of this gym we have now grown into a global brand with facilities in London, Paris, Milan, Bali, Dubai, Beijing and Shanghai. With the expansion of our gyms and increasing demand from our customers, we have also expanded to produce nutrition products in the form of our line of organic nutritional supplements.

FC: Who are your customers?

Lee Mullins: For all of our gyms, we don’t specialize in a particular demographic, we really work with a very diverse client base, from young to old, from business people to songwriters, actors to singers, and so on. t is a very diverse clientele which makes our work all the more interesting as each client has such different needs and requirements.

FC: How long has this Parisian outpost been in the making?

LM: Paris has been in gestation for 4 years, the Covid-19 has considerably delayed the opening but at the same time it left us more time to work on the optimization of the design of the gym and our offer to Paris.

FC: What is the USP of this site?

LM: I believe that there is no gymnasium in the heart of Paris that offers the level of facilities that we are able to offer under one roof, from the private 25-meter swimming pool, the studio of private workout for the Pilates and yoga reformer, infrared saunas and the ground floor gymnasium which has been designed with the best equipment in the world. We have deliberately designed the gym to be suitable for a person in the very early stages of rehabilitation from injury to a superstar athlete like Lionel Messi. In fact, we have pretty much the same equipment from Keizer as you do. find yourself in the gym of the Paris Saint-Germain training center.

FC: What can we expect from it?

LM: Identical to all of our facilities, programs designed based on the data we see in a client framework assessment, the unique set of body assessments that we accompany each client as they begin in the workshop, as well as all of our signature training services we offer across all of our locations, from one-on-one to one-on-one coaching, yoga, pilates, boxing and swimming. Guests will also have access to our collection of nutritional supplements, as well as all the supporting features and amenities of the Bulgari Hotel’s beautiful spa, Jacuzzis, steam rooms, infrared saunas, and more. Our offer has been designed to allow us to optimize the training and recovery of our clients in every way possible.

FC: How would you like your brand to develop further?

LM: We’re working on a way where no matter where in the world you are, there will be a way to access or train with Workshop, that will be through physical locations, and over the next 3 years we will will have 5 more new locations coming up with Bulgari in Rome, Moscow, Tokyo, Miami and Los Angeles, and more and more will be announced in the near future, but apart from our partnership with Bulgari there are a number other projects we are working on in the background. The other way people will be able to access the brand and our coaching team is through a digital training platform that will be unlike anything you’ve seen currently available on the market.

We are also working on a number of other consumer products that will help people improve the quality of their sleep, as well as their workouts. One of these is our Mini Strength Band Set, an easy to carry training tool that we use at all Workshop Gyms around the world, these will be launching in January and not only you get the set Complete with mini strength bands, you will have access to an exclusive library of mini strength bands exercises, as well as workout tips when performing each of the exercises.

Outside of our physical gym expansion plans, bringing everything we do in the gym be it our workout routines, the equipment we use, the nutritional supplements our customers use to be easily accessible in the whole world, that’s how we want the brand to develop.
