Teenagers are buying a pair of Lorna Jane sweatpants in droves due to a viral dance trend on TikTok, and the brand is struggling to keep them in stock.
Lorna Clarkson, owner of the Australian sportswear company, was surprised when the $79.99 Flashdance pants, a style she introduced 30 years ago, sold online.
“The Flashdance pants have been one of the brand’s best-selling styles for many years, so to see a sudden surge in sales of this cult favorite seemed to have come completely out of nowhere,” Lorna told news.com.au .

“We restocked them as fast as we could,” Lorna said. “The community is so creative with their content, it’s amazing to see the passion behind these designers. It’s even more special to see girls loving a style that’s already in their mom’s wardrobe.
Most videos on TikTok show what other accessories and clothing work alongside the Flashdance pants, with others choosing to dance on them to classic tunes.
“These are the most comfortable and stylish pants I’ve ever seen,” wrote one user.
“I ordered them yesterday. Can’t wait for them to come,” said another.
